Return Policy

Digital products

This covers the 12 Steps Companion Workbooks and any other downloadable files. Because a downloaded file can't be returned, all sales of digital products are final. We'll make it right in these cases:

The file won't open or is damaged. Contact us within 30 days of purchase. We'll send a working copy, and if we can't fix the problem, we'll refund your purchase.
You were charged twice, or bought the same product twice by mistake. We'll refund the duplicate.
You bought a single phase workbook, then the Complete Edition, within 30 days. We'll refund the single phase so you don't pay twice for the same pages.

Digital products are also covered by our Digital Product Terms and Conditions, which you agree to at checkout.

Money coaching sessions

Free initial consultation. There's nothing to refund, but please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Rescheduling. You can reschedule any paid session at no charge with at least 24 hours notice.
Late cancellations and missed sessions. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, are counted as used and aren't refunded. We'll waive this once for a genuine emergency.
Single 60-minute session. If you cancel with at least 24 hours notice and don't want to reschedule, we'll refund the session in full.
3-session package. Unused sessions in a package can be refunded within 6 months of purchase. Because the package is discounted, each session you've already used is charged at the single-session price of $200, and the rest of what you paid is refunded.
Not the right fit. If you're unhappy after your first paid session, tell us within 7 days and we'll refund that session.
Scholarship sessions. Free coaching scholarships have no charge and nothing to refund.

Consulting and exit planning

Business consulting, bookkeeping and exit planning are governed by the written agreement for each engagement, which sets out the scope, fees and how to end the work. Monthly retainers have no long-term contract: you can cancel when the work is complete or no longer needed, and fees already paid for work performed aren't refunded. The book

12 Steps to Eliminate Debt and Build Wealth is sold through Amazon, not on this website. Returns of the eBook, paperback, hardcover or audiobook are handled by Amazon under its own return policy; please start a return from your Amazon order history.

How to request a refund

Email support@practicallyindependent.com, or use the contact page at practicallyindependent.com/contact.
Include your name, order number or session date, and a short description of the problem.
We'll reply within 2 business days.

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Nothing in it limits any rights you may have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you. We may update this policy from time to time; the version posted when you made your purchase applies to that purchase.
